I can remember looking out of the window at the deep blue of the Pacific far below me. It stretched for as far as the eye could see in every direction, my view being occasionally interrupted by a wisp of cloud, but otherwise unobstructed. I am a lover of history and adventure, so when I'm not working or in school I'm generally traveling to some new exotic locale, and that's where a lot of my photos come from.

I also occasionally visit pirate festivals throughout Florida, and sometimes, I even host my own.

I love paleoart and have been into Paleontology for as long as I can remember, so sometimes the photos of my adventures are punctuated with drawings of animals past.

Also, it seems more and more that I live in a zoo, but I suppose that's my own doing.

Reflections on life as a scoundrel....

As I rid my life of many of my old friends, the people who I grew up with, screwed up with, and ultimately grew apart from, I find myself making friends that I feel I have more in common with, in terms of , interests, and drive. It's weird though, because I feel like I occupy this space somewhere between my old friends, and my new. I've lived a rough and tumble life. As a teenager, for example, I was in trouble with the law a lot. I've run from multiple helicopters, and gotten away from every single one. I lived and slept on benches, in peoples sheds, in friends closets, and in the back seats of cars. I became the first person ever to escape

Wow, it has certainly been a long time since I added a journal entry here. For shame, for shame. It's been a busy few years, what with going back to school, working all the time, and the occasional cross country road trip. For whatever reason, my art production dropped drastically, and that's too bad. I've been trying to make more time for my artwork, and only recently have I been able to live up to those expectations. I had forgotten how much I love to draw, and now that I've remembered, and I'm back in the habit again, I'll try to post new images relatively frequently. Camping at Fort Jefferson

So, as of this coming Friday morning, Erin and I are driving down to Key West. Hoping to be there in the early afternoon. Once we get there, not entirely sure what we're doing. There's the aquarium to see, the Pirate Soul Museum, the Tall Ships, the Shipwreck Museum, the Hemingway House, etcetera, but we'll figure out something. Then probably going to eat at the famous Sloppy Joes. Afterwards we shall retire to our hotel room, for on Saturday morning, we will board a boat that will take us 70 miles West of Key West, to the Dry Tortugas, to Fort Jefferson. We'll be there for 3 days, isolated, in the middle of the Caribbean. I'll be taking lot
